CHECK IN

  • Monday and Friday arrivals – check in from 4pm. Early check in can be arranged for 1pm for £25.00
  • Wednesday arrivals – check in from 1pm

Please note that our office closes at 6pm on Monday & Friday and 4pm on Wednesday. Late arrivals must be arranged in advance.

If you can do so, please check in online prior to arrival.  An online check in link will have been emailed to you (may go to your junk folder).  

Please also provide an estimated time of arrival (ETA).

Whether you check in online or in person at our reception, we require the details of the lead booker only, with matching valid photo ID and card details to hold against a security deposit, your details are stored securely in our booking system until your accommodation has been checked for damages after departure. 

CHECK OUT

Check out on your departure day is 10am. Late check out can be arranged for £25.00.

On departure, please post your key in the green post box at the front of the office.

Safari Tent – Yes

All our lodges and our lakeside Safari Tent have a private hot tub which is maintained every morning (7am-10am) by our hot tub technician with twice daily testing and also tested once a month by an external water testing company. On the morning of your departure day, all our hot tubs are emptied and deep cleaned and refilled. Your hot tub will be ready for use from 6pm on the day of your arrival.

Pods – There is no hot tub.

Cottages – There is no hot tub.

Lodges & Cottages - Kitchens are fully equipped with dishwasher, microwave, oven, toaster, kettle, oven, four ring hob, full size fridge freezer.  Crockery, cutlery, utensils, glassware, pots and pans, bbq tools etc. are also provided.
Everything except a washing machine.

Safari Tent - Kitchens are fully equipped with microwave, toaster, kettle, 4 ring hob, full size fridge freezer.  Crockery, cutlery, utensils, glassware, pots and pans etc. are also provided.

Pods - a small kitchenette incorporating a two-ring hob, fridge with small freezer/ice tray section, microwave, sink and kettle. Crockery, cutlery, utensils, glassware, pots and pans etc. are also provided.

Unfortunately, we do not have a laundry service. However there is a wonderful laundry shop in Greenfield Village who offer a wash, dry & iron service.

Lodges - All bedding and towels are provided and made up for your arrival. It is a good idea to bring a couple of extra towels for use with your hot tub.

Pods, Safari Tent and Cottages - All bedding and towels are provided and made up for your arrival.

We do have pet friendly accommodation but this must be prebooked as some units are kept as pet free.

A pet fee is applicable weekly per pet;
Lodges, Cottages  - £30
Pods & Safari Tent - £20

We ask that you keep your pets off beds and sofas so it is a good idea to bring your pet bed/blankets with you.

Any damage caused by pets is chargeable.

 

Yes, all our accommodations are heated meaning you will be snug and cosy;

Lodges - Central Heating and log burner effect fan heater
Cottages – Central Heating and log burner in the lounge (one basket of complimentary logs provided)
Pods – Infra red wall mounted heaters
Safari Tent – Central heating and log burner in the lounge (one basket of complementary logs provided)

 

Yes, there is a parking bay for every accommodation, additional spaces may be available on our car park but cannot be guaranteed.

We ask that you take care with your keys, each accommodation comes with one key.  

Should you lose your key we can provide a replacement but for security we must replace the locks and therefore a charge of £100 will be taken from your security deposit.

If the request for a replacement key is outside of our office hours then a further call out charge of £25 is also payable.

We provide the following;

Lodges – 2 x loo rolls in each bathroom. Washing up liquid, cloth, dish sponge, brillo pad, dishwasher tabs, 1 x bin liner, 1 x tea towel and 1 x oven cloth.

Cottages - 2 x loo rolls in each bathroom. Washing up liquid, cloth, dish sponge, brillo pad, dishwasher tabs, 1 x bin liner, 1 x tea towel and 1 x oven cloth.

Safari Tent – 2 x loo rolls in bathroom. Washing up liquid, cloth, dish sponge, brillo pad, 1 x bin liner and 1 x tea towel.

Pods – 2 x loo rolls in bathroom. Washing up liquid, cloth, dish sponge, brillo pad, 1 x bin liner and 1 x tea towel.

 

We will always try and accommodate requests for extras, but we generally only order what we need so may not always have these items on sale.

Yes, we can provide a cot and highchair, please arrange in advance is possible. They are charged at £10 each.

Every accommodation has a solid structure BBQ on a paved area to ensure we comply with fire safety regulations. These BBQ’s are for use with charcoal only, the burning of wood is not permitted within our site due to the high fire risk.

Fire pits, your own bbq and gas bbq’s are not permitted on our site due to the high fire risk and National Park regulations.

Please bring charcoal for your BBQ.

As small gazebo can be erected should you wish but please be aware that when the wind blows at Dovestone, your gazebo may take flight! Your gazebo must not obstruct pathways or other accommodations so ideally at the side of your pod.

Please notify the office if you discover anything damaged so we can fix it.  

On departure, we check for damages and missing items. It is quite common for a hairdryer etc to be packed mistakenly. We would first contact you before any charges taken.

General wear and tear is expected, an occasional broken glass or crockery too... we would never charge for this. Let us know and we will provide a replacement.

Damages that are liable for charges include; stained furniture, beds and carpets. Pet damages; chewed furniture and fixtures, excessive pet hair on furniture, etc.
